Agitar, a provider of Java testing solutions for enterprises, needed a flexible way to license its AgitarOne product family for customers across multiple industries and regions. The company wanted licensing that could handle floating users, subscription periods, and Java class capacity limits while remaining easy for customers to install and use. Agitar used Agilis Software’s Orion Network Licensing Platform to meet these needs.

Agilis Software implemented a redistributed Orion Server embedded with the AgitarOne Server, enabling floating licensing from a standalone or embedded server without a cumbersome separate licensing process. The solution let Agitar manage user-count, class-count, and subscription-based licensing from one system, with the Orion Server enforcing limits over the customer network. The result was a simpler installation experience and a licensing approach that Agitar says meets all of its requirements.
