Their pharmacy specialists relied on a customer support system that needed to stay available while handling protected health information, but mismatches between non-production testing and production data volumes led to delays, outages, and HIPAA compliance concerns.

AgileThought built a HIPAA-compliant process to copy production data into a restricted non-production environment and scramble all PHI fields, using technologies including Unix, Red Hat, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Database, and Java. This created a realistic test environment without exposing patient data, improved release stability, and reduced production issues from 10–15 per update to just 1–2 every few months, while also speeding releases and improving patient service.
