Children’s Research Hospital Revitalizes Clinical Research Information System with 14X Faster Protocol Migration

AgileThought worked with Prominent Children’s Research Hospital to revitalize its clinical research information system (CRIS) after a slow offshore vendor struggled with support, documentation was sparse, and a duplicate CRIS environment had created migration and data-management challenges. The hospital needed a partner that could quickly understand the complex system, support dozens of departments and more than 400 research protocols, and avoid disrupting critical clinical research workflows.

AgileThought merged the duplicate CRIS systems, rewrote the migration approach, developed enhancements, and continued supporting the updated platform and related infrastructure. The team successfully completed 24 protocol migrations, including a major leukemia trial in 28 minutes versus more than six hours with the prior vendor, delivering about 14X faster migration overall. The project also cut maintenance costs in half by eliminating one system and helped the hospital renew its infrastructure.
