A AgileThought Case Study
AgileThought worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the nonprofit behind a nationwide network of 250 agencies that use the Agency Information Management (AIM) system to manage child-volunteer matches and safety compliance. As BBBSA updated its national safety standards, the legacy AIM platform became difficult to scale and maintain, with outdated architecture, performance bugs, and manual compliance work slowing agents down.
AgileThought re-architected AIM, added features such as bulk document uploads and a pending-closure status, repaired five years of broken records with automated scripts, and migrated the system from a hybrid IaaS environment to Azure PaaS using SQL Azure Database and Azure DevOps. The result was an 85% reduction in monthly cloud costs, 75% lower development and QA costs, and 20% shorter development time, while also improving performance, security, scalability, and IT autonomy for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
