Leading Convenience Retail Brand, a convenience retailer operating 25 regional locations, turned to Agilence to better understand how its customer rewards program affected profits. The company needed clearer reporting on its branded savings card and no longer had visibility into whether the discount was driving higher transaction values or simply reducing margins.

Using Agilence to query and analyze transactional data, the retailer compared transaction sizes with and without the loyalty discount and measured card usage across stores. Agilence found that transactions using the card were about $7 larger on average, 8.6% of all transactions used the card, and some locations reached 19% usage. Based on these results, the company set a 10% enterprise-wide utilization goal, which was expected to increase sales by about $750,000 per year.
