Optimized Pavement Treatment Projects Using AgileAssets® Pavement Analyst and Maintenance Manager

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT), which manages more than 25,000 lane miles of highway and extensive multimodal assets, sought to improve its statewide pavement management to deliver greater value to travelers. Key challenges included rolling out the program across the state, integrating new software with legacy pavement data-collection systems, and organizing comprehensive staff training.

NMDOT implemented AgileAssets Pavement Analyst and Maintenance Manager, establishing pavement condition ratings and distress indices, generating Pavement Condition Reports, and prioritizing cost‑effective treatments via an integrated API-driven workflow. The result was optimized treatment selection and funding allocation, longer‑lasting roadways, higher returns on pavement investments, improved service and safety, and recognition as a nominee for AgileAssets’ AXIAM award.
