A AgileAssets Case Study
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), one of the largest U.S. transportation agencies, manages 200,000 lane miles across 254 counties and supports roughly 500 million vehicle miles traveled per day. Although TxDOT used AgileAssets Maintenance Manager and later deployed AgileAssets Pavement Analyst, the two systems were implemented separately and data remained siloed—leaving pavement managers without up-to-date maintenance histories, causing planning inefficiencies, data inaccuracies, and occasional duplication or conflict between maintenance and rehabilitation projects.
TxDOT integrated Pavement Analyst and Maintenance Manager so the PMS imports MMS activity data, giving both pavement and maintenance teams a single source of truth. The integration enables importing planned projects into 4‑year pavement plans, prevents duplicate work, automates data flows and reporting, and improves data quality, resource allocation, and decision-making. Using the same vendor interface and support also simplified adoption, producing better strategic planning, increased efficiency, and smoother day‑to‑day operations.
