Engaging Maintenance Management Teams for Higher Performance with AgileAssets® Maintenance Manager

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) oversees more than 12,000 centerline miles and 6,800 bridge structures and had already deployed AgileAssets Maintenance Manager across 600 users. Facing aging infrastructure, budget pressure and rising traffic, the agency needed a cultural shift to get staff statewide to embrace technical innovation, continuous learning and transparency so they could maximize the MMS investment and improve maintenance outcomes.

ODOT created an MMS training and engagement program featuring daylong in-house sessions led by power users, a sustained budget for software and support, employee email groups, weekly team meetings, periodic user surveys, and a dedicated full‑time AgileAssets on‑site support specialist. The initiative boosted user engagement, proficiency and data integrity, improved executive-level reporting and operational efficiency, lowered maintenance costs and raised asset performance and safety — plus it earned ODOT the 2018 AgileAssets AXIAM industry award.
