Agile GCP Labs helps SocialHi5 with migration of Digital Marketing Analytics to Google Cloud

SocialHi5, a ROI-driven digital marketing agency and Google Premier Partner, was struggling with slow and unreliable reporting as campaign and Google Analytics data from multiple platforms accumulated in an on-prem MySQL database. As the database grew beyond 1TB, dashboard queries took 1 to 3 minutes and occasional downtime affected client experience and the company’s ability to scale. Agile GCP Labs was brought in to help with the migration.

Agile GCP Labs moved the data from on-prem MySQL to Google Cloud Storage first and then into Cloud SQL, using its MySQL to Cloud SQL accelerator to speed up the migration of more than 1TB of data. After the move to Google Cloud Platform, dashboard response times improved to 2 to 5 seconds, downtime was eliminated, and SocialHi5 gained a more reliable, scalable environment that let the team focus on insights instead of infrastructure management.
