A Agile Fleet Case Study
The State of Michigan needed a way to centrally manage vehicle sharing across 15 motor pools, improve utilization, and reduce fleet costs. To address this, the State selected Agile Fleet and deployed its FleetCommander system to automate reservations, scheduling, dispatching, and permissions while giving fleet managers centralized visibility and control from Lansing.
Agile Fleet’s FleetCommander automated online reservations, kiosks, automated key control and policy notifications, enabling 100% vehicle accountability and real-time utilization reporting. The State now manages about 400 vehicles for nearly 6,200 users with more than 110 daily requests, achieves utilization rates above 80% on most workdays, removed roughly 30% of permanently assigned vehicles, and realizes estimated savings of $3,000–$5,000 per vehicle removed annually, plus reduced POV reimbursement and staff time.
