Tereos Commodities, a division of the international Tereos Group sugar trader, required a commodity trade and risk management (CTRM) solution to support its global ambitions. The company needed a system to manage physical contract administration, trade positions, and logistics for sugar, with specialized functionality to avoid double data entry and provide global access for its traders. They selected the Agiblocks CTRM solution from vendor Agiboo to meet this challenge.

Agiboo implemented its cloud-based Agiblocks platform, which provided the required multi-company setup and mobile access. The implementation was completed in under two months, a significantly shorter timeframe than is typical for such IT projects, and the system was taken into production as planned in July 2015. The solution gave Tereos Commodities control over contract management, hedging, logistics, and finance. As a result of the successful rollout, Tereos later decided to integrate Agiblocks with its group-wide SAP ERP system to further automate financial processes.
