Daarnhouwer, a European market leader in specialty cocoa, coffee, and tree nuts, faced significant administrative challenges due to its unique business model of splitting container loads for smaller retail sales. Their outdated proprietary system and a later ERP-based solution could not handle the complexities of tracing individual product units or calculating profit and loss per contract. Seeking a comprehensive Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) solution, they struggled to find software that met their specialized requirements, leading them to the vendor Agiboo and its Agiblocks platform.

Agiboo implemented its flexible Agiblocks CTRM software, which was developed in close partnership with Daarnhouwer to fully embed their trading, logistics, and financial knowledge. The solution successfully went live, providing complete support for trading and risk management processes, including the critical per-contract P&L administration. The results were highly positive; the system integrated seamlessly with Microsoft Navision, passed external audits, and was met with enthusiasm by the entire office for its comprehensive functionality and ease of use.
