Henry Ford Health System identifies 3x more at-risk patients with Agamon

Henry Ford Health System, a non-profit integrated health system, faced a challenge in its radiology department where manually identifying and communicating patient follow-up recommendations was a slow, labor-intensive process prone to error. This led to significant delays in patient care. To address this, they partnered with vendor Agamon to implement its Coordinate care coordination platform.

Agamon's solution used Natural Language Processing (NLP) to automatically and accurately extract follow-up recommendations from free-text radiology reports. The Agamon Coordinate platform streamlined the management and communication of these follow-ups. This resulted in Agamon finding three times more at-risk patients who needed follow-up scans, increased extraction accuracy from 87% to 97.6%, and eliminated the need for additional administrative headcount to scale the process.
