Case Study: Solo Cup Company (SOLO) achieves tighter trade promotion controls and SOX compliance with AFS Technologies' AFS TradePro™

A AFS Technologies Case Study

Preview of the SOLO Case Study

SOLO - Customer Case Study

Solo Cup Company, the $1.5 billion manufacturer of single‑use products, faced mounting regulatory and operational pressure to standardize and validate trade‑related data, speed promotion setup, and tighten controls across sales, brokers, finance and deductions. To meet those needs, Solo selected TradeInsight® (now AFS TradePro™) from AFS as its trade promotion management (TPM) solution and went live in October 2008.

AFS TradePro™ centralized promotions, integrated vendor, Oracle and SAP data, enforced validations and produced drill‑down control and liability reports; after adding deductions in February 2009 Solo tightened controls, became SOX compliant and completed a year of validation by year‑end. AFS’s solution let brokers enter promotions for next‑year planning, improved reconciliation and forecasting, delivered broker scorecards and reliable finance reports, and materially increased visibility and execution control over trade spending.
