Nestlé engaged AFS to standardize and replace a patchwork of local sales-force automation tools as part of its GLOBE program. Facing the need for harmonized processes, data standards and a low total cost of ownership for mobile solutions across Europe, Nestlé selected AFS Retail Execution to increase sales-team efficiency and cut administration and support costs while supporting PDA and tablet devices and tight SAP integration.

AFS implemented AFS Retail Execution as a hosted, market-by-market solution with more than 20 interfaces into Nestlé’s SAP/CRM landscape, high-availability architecture and support for order taking, visit execution, van delivery and cash/stock management. The AFS deployment grew from 400 users in Germany to over 10,000 Nestlé sales representatives across Europe by 2012, delivering measurable impact including one additional customer visit per rep per day and reduced total cost of ownership and support overhead.
