Borden boosts order-to-cash and procure-to-pay effectiveness with AFS Direct Store Delivery Suite

Borden, one of the largest dairy groups in the U.S. operating 18 plants with about 2,000 delivery vehicles serving nearly 40,000 customers, faced fragmented legacy processes and multiple direct store delivery (DSD) systems after mergers and acquisitions. To standardize and consolidate its DSD data and meet diverse customer requirements, Borden engaged AFS Technologies and adopted the AFS Direct Store Delivery (DSD) route accounting solution.

AFS Technologies implemented a full AFS DSD suite—including order-to-cash and procure-to-pay—supporting pre-ordering, peddle routes with handhelds, and real-time warehouse inventory tracking. The AFS solution unified systems across Borden’s operations, delivered constant transaction visibility, and standardized data for more than 40,000 customers, improving order-to-cash and procure-to-pay effectiveness and inventory planning for ingredients and packaging.
