A Aframe Case Study

Timeline TV - Customer Case Study

Timeline TV is a UK post‑production facility serving major broadcasters like the BBC, ITV and Sky, and was managing BBC Three’s second season of In the Flesh with 75 days of Arri ALEXA location shoots. The challenge was rapidly circulating large, edit‑ready DNx36 rushes to producers, editors and commissioners spread across the UK while avoiding slow courier drops, time‑consuming transcoding and secure collaboration headaches.

Aframe provided high‑speed UDP upload to private cloud storage, preserved camera metadata and generated proxies for review while Encore Post downloaded Avid‑ready files for offline editing. The workflow eliminated a costly transcoding step and cut rushes‑to‑review time from about 35 hours to under 5 hours, delivering secure, full‑resolution access and faster approvals across Timeline’s London and MediaCity sites.
