Case Study: Arrow Media achieves 20-week edit time savings with Aframe's proxy-first cloud workflow

A Aframe Case Study

Preview of the Arrow Media Case Study

Aframe's proxy first workflow saved producers 20 weeks in the edit, equating to about two weeks per episode

Arrow Media is a fast-growing UK independent production company known for high‑quality series like Ultimate Airport Dubai. Their challenge was that high‑resolution footage produced huge files that were slow and costly to move—relying on couriered drives or unreliable FTP—making dailies distribution and collaborative review across locations inefficient and time‑consuming.

Aframe implemented a Proxy First cloud workflow that sent camera proxies straight to the platform via an accelerated uploader (over 15x faster than FTP) with pause/resume and reliable fault‑handling, enabling remote teams to review and assemble edits while originals arrived by hard drive. The result was faster decision‑making, lower storage and courier costs, on‑time/on‑budget delivery of season two, and a 20‑week reduction in edit time (about two weeks saved per episode), freeing the team to focus on storytelling.
