Kaiser Permanente needed to meet HITRUST data-security requirements and turned to Affirma to move a prototype security platform into a production-ready Data Mart solution that could monitor the organization’s highly sensitive health and financial data.

Affirma converted the prototype into a full .NET/SQL Data Mart, built a lightning-fast digital readout that graphs security events per minute (scrollable at 1 minute per second), and created a dynamic UI that refreshes from SQL hourly; Affirma also guided Kaiser through validation, deployment, and implementation. The result is a production Data Mart that lets Kaiser Permanente quickly identify and monitor spikes in unauthorized access attempts, improperly protected PHI, blocked spam messages, and other security issues in near real time.
