Aegis Living, a West Coast retirement community, had an outdated document library that was only partially online, inaccessible outside the internal network, and contained thousands of documents with no search—forcing staff to scroll manually to find content. They engaged Affirma to modernize and deliver an easy-to-use, functional document management solution; Affirma recommended a SharePoint-based approach.
Affirma assembled a team, designed SharePoint intranet wireframes and a prototype, and implemented a SharePoint web system that leverages Active Directory Windows Authentication for password-protected external access. Affirma’s solution delivered a concise, user-friendly site with better organization and a keyword search across thousands of documents, significantly improving Aegis Living’s document findability and accessibility.
