Advantage WayPoint, a national food service sales and marketing agency, engaged Affirma to convert its enterprise web portal/CRM into a mobile application so distributors, operators, and sales associates could access the company’s large product and customer database and native workflows on Android and iOS. Affirma leveraged Xamarin to create a unified mobile solution that adapted web processes for phone interfaces and extended existing functionality.
Affirma delivered native Android and iOS apps (built with Xamarin) that include a Sample Express ordering feature and two barcode scanners tied to AWP’s database of hundreds of thousands of products, providing full images, product details, and competitor comparisons in the field. The Affirma solution put real-time ordering and rapid product lookup into sales associates’ hands, expanding the CRM’s capabilities beyond the web portal and enabling faster, data-driven decisions in the field.
