Tradesy, the leading designer fashion resale marketplace with more than three million members, faced a common challenge: many luxury listings were outside the financial comfort zone of its customers. To make high‑value items more accessible and accelerate its cyclical commerce model, Tradesy partnered with Affirm to offer installment financing at the point of sale using Buy with Affirm.
Affirm’s Buy with Affirm was integrated across Tradesy’s product pages so shoppers can split purchases into monthly payments, and the impact was significant: checkout conversions rose 14%, revenue per visitor increased 34%, average order value for Affirm purchases was 75% higher, repeat purchases were 88% higher, and Affirm buyers re‑listed items 18% more. Overall Tradesy sales grew about 35% month‑over‑month with over half coming from repeat buyers, demonstrating that Affirm materially boosted sales, AOV and customer retention.
