Affirm implemented transparent, no-hidden-fee financing (with a 0% APR promotion and 24-month terms), enabling customers to buy the phones they wanted without punitive fine print, even if they switched networks. The results were dramatic: weekly orders were nearly 5x greater after the Apple financing launch (and nearly 6x after the iPhone 8/X release), average order value rose 25%, 11% more customers were approved for 0% APR financing, and financed customers showed lower churn — all driven by Affirm’s solution.
