Priceline, a leading online travel agency, faced a pandemic-driven drop in travel and a shift toward more price-sensitive, shorter trips that made customers more reluctant to pay upfront. To help customers book despite tighter budgets, Priceline partnered with Affirm to offer pay-over-time payment flexibility that reduces the immediate cash-flow hurdle for travelers.
Affirm’s financing option was integrated and A/B tested on Priceline, and the results showed incremental new customers and measurable growth that wouldn’t have booked without the offering. Priceline also saw stronger performance with millennial and Gen Z segments, and credited the collaborative partnership with Affirm for helping expand market reach and improve conversion.
