Ikon Pass, the season-pass program from Alterra Mountain Company, needed a better way for customers to pay over time after its internal payment plan became hard to service as product offerings grew more complex. Ikon Pass selected Affirm as its buy now, pay later partner for Affirm’s technical capabilities, hands-on support, and a simple, transparent customer experience without hidden fees.

Affirm implemented a BNPL option (including a 0% APR promotion) with smooth technical, training, and marketing support, driving double-digit conversion lifts versus the prior program. Results include 90% customer approvals, a +30% conversion boost with the 0% APR offer, and 40% of sales coming from buyers aged 25–34, helping Ikon Pass expand access and increase overall sales.
