GhostBed, a direct-to-consumer mattress brand, needed a digital credit solution to replicate brick-and-mortar financing for e‑commerce customers and increase conversions. After switching to Klarna and experiencing low approval rates, GhostBed returned to Affirm and adopted Affirm’s digital-first pay-over-time solution, including the WooCommerce plugin, prequalification messaging, 0% APR promotions, and longer-term options.

Affirm implemented its increased-approvals program and pricing optimization, underwriting higher-ticket purchases and offering terms up to 36 months, prequalify, and stackable promotions. The result: Affirm delivered about 30%–40% more approvals than Klarna, drove higher-than-industry-average order values, reduced customer denials and complaints, and helped GhostBed grow sales by making larger purchases more affordable.
