Big Chill is brightening kitchens with Affirm

Big Chill, a maker of retro‑inspired refrigerators, ranges and dishwashers, needed a way to make its high‑ticket appliances more affordable and capture customers who were abandoning carts. Big Chill partnered with Affirm to offer branded pay‑over‑time financing (3, 6, 12 or 18‑month installment options with no compounding interest and broader underwriting than traditional credit), so shoppers could spread payments and see clear "as low as" pricing.

Affirm’s financing was integrated sitewide and promoted via display, social and email, which gave shoppers the power to buy more — Big Chill orders using Affirm had a 44% higher average order value than non‑Affirm purchases, that lift rose another 20% during a 0% APR promotion, and Affirm’s share of cart doubled. By using Affirm, Big Chill reduced friction on big purchases and opened its products to a larger customer base.
