Cole Haan, a nearly 100‑year‑old footwear and apparel brand, wanted to reduce purchase barriers and boost e‑commerce conversion by giving customers more flexible payment options. To do that they partnered with Affirm and tested Affirm’s split pay product, which lets shoppers split purchases into four interest‑free payments.
Affirm’s split pay was rolled out sitewide after fall 2020 testing, and Cole Haan saw a 23% lift in conversion rate and a 180% increase in daily Affirm sales volume. The interest‑free, biweekly payment option made items more affordable for shoppers, supported gift‑buying occasions, and measurably improved Cole Haan’s online sales performance.
