United States Department of the Navy - Customer Case Study

The United States Department of the Navy needed a secure, scalable way to communicate with personnel across dozens of facilities and shipyards. To meet that need it awarded Aerva more than 15 contracts (beginning with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in 2009) to deploy a base-wide digital signage and video information network using AerWave-driven 46" LCD screens across 10 surface warfare centers, 2 undersea warfare centers, 3 shipyards and other maintenance facilities—reaching roughly 70,000 civilian and military personnel.

Aerva implemented its AerWave digital signage platform as an on-premise private cloud integrated with the Navy’s Common Access Card security, enabling centralized browser-based content management with departmental controls and dynamic feeds (RSS, weather, enterprise data). The deployment produced a secure, centrally governed display network spanning large and small naval sites, improved internal communications at scale, and delivered measurable reach—70,000 viewers across the Navy’s warfare centers, shipyards and maintenance organizations.
