HTC ran a holiday cross-channel marketing program for the HTC One that needed to aggregate, moderate and display user-generated “beautiful” photos from multiple social platforms and deliver a personalized digital keepsake to each submitter. To do this across markets and a Times Square billboard, HTC required a backend platform that could ingest submissions from Twitter, Weibo, WeChat, email and its website, moderate content, and power the digital display—so they engaged Aerva’s cloud-based consumer engagement platform for powering digital screen networks.
Aerva powered the 11-week campaign across five markets (US, UK, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), handling moderation and distribution so approved photos were posted to a Times Square billboard and HTC.com and a digital keepsake was returned to submitters for social sharing. The effort generated over 60,000 photo submissions, ran during high-traffic moments like New Year’s Eve and Super Bowl festivities, and used Aerva’s reporting and analytics to award geography-based prizes and deliver actionable customer insights.
