Chicco - Customer Case Study

Chicco, the Italian baby-products brand, hired Aerva to help re-introduce the brand in the US and teach consumers the correct pronunciation (“KEE-ko”), since Chicco was not widely recognized stateside. McCann Erickson and Chicco selected Aerva’s digital out-of-home, mobile and social media platform — including its content management system — to power a user-generated video campaign tied to chiccousa.com/timessquare.

Aerva collected and managed parent-submitted baby videos, published them in a website gallery, and showcased selected clips on the 12-panel American Eagle LED board in Times Square; Aerva also captured a “Keepsake Photograph” for parents to share on Facebook and Twitter. The month-long campaign (ending March 16, 2011) saw strong parent participation and Aerva supplied measurable metrics (UGC submissions, acceptance/rejection rates, and social shares), helping Chicco build US awareness and laying groundwork for future campaigns.
