Beats by Dre wanted a bold Times Square takeover to highlight its message of personal expression and drive real-world engagement. To execute the campaign the brand partnered with Aerva, using Aerva’s AerWave platform together with its Pic2Screen module and moderation engine to surface and display personalized consumer images on massive public billboards.

Aerva ingested, moderated and published user photos in real time across three giant billboards (twelve panels on the American Eagle board, two Clear Channel Spectacolor boards) plus six smaller displays, with images appearing within seconds. The activation drove strong on‑site engagement—lines of participants, many staying 20 minutes to an hour to see their photo alongside celebrities—and robust social sharing (hashtag #showyourcolor), delivering an immediate, measurable boost in brand visibility for Beats by Dre.
