A Aeroseal Case Study
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers faced a challenge with a 125-year-old military facility suffering from severe HVAC inefficiencies due to leaky ductwork. This led to high energy bills, poor indoor air quality, and occupant discomfort. Given the building's historic status, they needed a non-invasive solution, which led them to choose Aeroseal's duct sealing service.
Aeroseal implemented its automated, aerosol-based duct sealing technology over three days. The results were a 91.8% reduction in duct leakage, saving 83,475 kWh and 1,474 therms of energy annually. This project significantly improved comfort and air quality while preserving the historic architecture, with an estimated payback period of five years.
