Case Study: New Tradition Homes achieves net-zero-ready energy efficiency with Aeroseal AeroBarrier

A Aeroseal Case Study

New Tradition Homes cuts ACH from 2.6 to 0.6 in 90 minutes with Aeroseal

The customer, New Tradition Homes, a high-volume production builder in Washington, faced the challenge of finding a new construction strategy to further improve energy efficiency. Their goal was to make this strategy a standard on every affordable, market-competitive home they built. They turned to the vendor Aeroseal and its AeroBarrier air sealing technology to address this.

Aeroseal implemented its AeroBarrier solution, which dramatically reduced the home's air leakage. The results were immediate and significant, with the air changes per hour (ACH) dropping from 2.6 to 0.6 within just 90 minutes. This reduction in energy demand means very little solar power is required for the home to reach net zero energy. Based on this success, New Tradition Homes began using Aeroseal's solution across multiple projects.
