A Aeroseal Case Study
Hyundai's U.S. headquarters faced a significant challenge when its new 500,000 sq. ft. building failed to meet duct leakage codes for its smoke evacuation and outside air shafts just weeks before its scheduled opening. Traditional sealing methods were projected to be costly and time-consuming, threatening the project's deadline. The vendor, Aeroseal, was brought in to address this critical issue.
Aeroseal's duct sealing technology was implemented by a contractor and completed the sealing of all five shafts in just a couple of weeks. The solution dramatically reduced leakage rates from 20% to 1.1%, well below the required code, at a fraction of the cost of alternative methods. This allowed the Hyundai U.S. headquarters to open on schedule, with the project manager calling Aeroseal a "project saver."
