Dwell Development reaches 0.22 ACH50 with Aeroseal

Dwell Development, a Seattle-based custom home builder committed to constructing high-performance homes, sought a product to improve energy efficiency and air sealing in both new and existing builds. Their goal was to find an affordable solution that could easily help them achieve superior results without disrupting their construction schedule. They partnered with Aeroseal and utilized its AeroBarrier technology.

Using Aeroseal's AeroBarrier air sealing solution, Dwell Development was able to easily and affordably achieve an extremely tight building envelope. The results were a post-leakage rate of 0.22 ACH50 and a HERS index of 45, which is 30% better than code. This superior energy efficiency, combined with a solar array, allowed the project to achieve zero energy. Following this success, Dwell has implemented Aeroseal's technology on all of its houses.
