A Aegis Software Case Study
Cirtronics Corporation, an employee-owned electronics manufacturer serving medical, defense, aerospace and other markets, faced a time-consuming manual process for validating part numbers and importing customer bills of materials between Exact MAX (MAX) and their shop-floor systems. Cirtronics had been using Aegis Software as their Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to automate production, but needed a tighter MAX–Aegis integration so new or revised BOMs could flow quickly and accurately.
Aegis Software implemented a “part import service” that automatically cross-references customer part numbers between Aegis and MAX, prompts for new part creation, and syncs new part data via XML every five minutes (with BOMs moved through MAX’s ETL module). The integration cut BOM and part-number processing from several hours to 10–15 minutes, helped eliminate paper on the shop floor, halved overall manufacturing time, and delivered ongoing real-time visibility and productivity gains.
