Quality Production Ltd (QPL) is an EMS provider for high-mix, high-reliability markets that was hampered by a paper-based, non-integrated manufacturing system—causing slow BOM scrubbing and document creation, poor ECO control, long machine programming times, and limited access to real-time quality data. QPL partnered with Aegis Software to deploy an integrated manufacturing operations suite (including NPI modules, paperless electronic workstations, traceability and quality data tools) to address these challenges.

Aegis Software implemented a phased solution—NPI for document creation and BOM scrubbing, paperless workstations and ECO control, then product traceability and real-time quality analytics—which cut document creation time by 90% (10–12 hrs to 1–2 hrs), reduced machine programming to 30 minutes (from 2–3 hrs), and made ECOs instant and controlled. Measurable quality gains with Aegis include first pass yield rising from 87.1% to 95.2% (+9.4%), defects per unit falling 66.8% (0.391 to 0.130), and returned assemblies dropping 59.8% (2.04% to 0.82%), enabling faster customer response and sustained growth.
