Aegis Enables EPE to Deliver Tier-One Information and Control

EPE Corporation, a New England defense and high-reliability EMS provider, faced rapidly growing customer demands for reporting, traceability and process control while constrained by limited IT and engineering resources. To scale without adding staff or incurring high customization costs, EPE expanded its existing use of Aegis Software’s NPI tools and selected the Aegis Manufacturing Operations Software (Aegis MOS) to deliver factory-wide visibility and control.

Aegis Software deployed Aegis MOS as an out-of-the-box single system providing NPI automation, real-time unit tracking, materials control, machine data acquisition, paperless documentation, dashboards and user-designed reports. The solution was delivered on budget with zero code customization, required no dedicated IT support, cut report generation from 20 hours/week to 0, supported 4,700 unit movements/day and >6,600 transactions/day, and helped drive 58% revenue growth during the study period (with 33% of contracts won in part due to Aegis MOS); core functionality was live in ~2 months and fully integrated in ~6 months.
