Viega GmbH, a leading manufacturer of drinking water systems, wanted to identify and implement energy savings in its modern BA17 office building. Their challenge was to optimize the building's high-tech operations to increase energy efficiency and reduce costs, while also merging building automation data with their proprietary systems. To meet this challenge, they partnered with aedifion to utilize its cloud platform and data analysis services.

aedifion implemented its solution by first establishing secure, plug-and-play connectivity to quickly bring all building systems online. Then, using AI-based analysis, aedifion identified and helped implement key operational optimizations, such as intelligently adjusting operating times for heating and cooling systems. This resulted in significant annual savings of 123 MWh of energy and over €24,600 in operating costs for the customer, while also avoiding 53 tons of CO2 emissions.
