KanAm Grund Group, an international real estate investment firm, sought to improve energy efficiency and user comfort at its Quartermile 3 office property in Edinburgh. A key challenge was to take better advantage of favorable night-time electricity rates and modernize its room automation system. To address this, they partnered with aedifion.

Using the aedifion platform and its .controls and .dynamics modules, an AI-supported automation system was implemented. This solution shifted energy-intensive processes like preconditioning to night-time hours. The results were significant annual savings of 221 MWh of energy, 3.4 tons of CO2, and over €50,800 in operating costs, demonstrating the effective value delivered by aedifion.
