The ECE Group, manager of the Ettlinger Tor shopping center, sought to analyze its technical systems and sustainably reduce operating costs while maintaining a comfortable indoor climate with maximum energy efficiency. To meet this dual challenge, they partnered with aedifion and implemented its cloud platform and data-driven optimization services.

aedifion's solution provided transparent, real-time control of all technical systems, delivering customized optimization recommendations that were automatically implemented. This resulted in significant annual savings of €57,000 in operation costs and 645 MWh in energy, while also avoiding 74 tons of CO2 emissions. Key measures included optimizing air handling units, fixing a faulty sensor, and introducing predictive heating control, with further automated optimizations underway by aedifion.
