The Holiday Inn hotel in Düsseldorf, owned by Invesco Real Estate GmbH, sought to understand its technical operations to quickly identify potential savings and reduce operating costs sustainably. The goal was to transition the property to an automated, user-focused mode of operation for maximum efficiency and comfort. To meet this challenge, they partnered with aedifion.

aedifion implemented its cloud platform, which provided real-time monitoring of all technical systems and automatic optimization recommendations. This involved upgrading the building's automation to the BACnetIP protocol, analyzing data to find savings, and using AI for dynamic control of equipment. The results for Holiday Inn included €29,746 in annual operational savings, a reduction of 187 MWh in energy use, and 48 tons of avoided CO2 emissions. aedifion's solution successfully enhanced both the hotel's efficiency and user comfort.
