Case Study: Hillarys achieves secure, omnichannel payments and higher conversions with Adyen

A Adyen Case Study

Preview of the Hillarys Case Study

With Adyen, Hillarys delivers secure online and offline payments in one system

Hillarys is a UK maker and retailer of made-to-measure curtains, blinds and related home products with a 45‑year history and a nationwide in‑home sales force of 1,100 advisors. The business relies on taking payments in customers’ homes, but around 20% of properties lack reliable mobile signal and growing PCI DSS requirements made secure offline and tokenized payments a major challenge for the £20m of annual offline turnover.

Hillarys partnered with Adyen to deploy PCI‑compliant mobile POS terminals that capture payments offline and securely tokenize card data for follow‑up charges, plus send pre-filled payment links when customers decide after a visit. Moving both ecommerce and in‑home payments onto Adyen’s single platform simplified operations, unlocked Apple Pay/Google Pay and local methods, improved customer experience and noticeably increased online conversions.
