Case Study: Lancaster boosts mobile turnover to 81% and streamlines payments with Adyen

A Adyen Case Study

Preview of the Lancaster Case Study

Lancaster share their passion for leather and ecommerce, and reveal their secrets for a successful migration to Magento 2

Lancaster, a 30‑year‑old French leather‑goods brand selling 1,500+ items globally, faced a mobile‑first challenge: about 57% of traffic came from smartphones but mobile conversion and checkout abandonment were very poor. To put customers at the center of its experience and support international growth, Lancaster decided to redesign its site and migrate from Magento 1 to Magento 2.

Working with agency DN'D and payments partner Adyen — using Adyen’s Magento 2 module — Lancaster completed a nine‑month migration that improved site performance, streamlined the mobile checkout and added payment options like Apple Pay and installment payments. The migration drove major uplifts in mobile performance (mobile turnover rose to 81%), reduced bounce and abandonment rates, and created a scalable payments foundation for omnichannel and international expansion.
