TransferWise is a global cross-border money-transfer service founded in 2011 that helps customers send money abroad at low cost using real exchange rates. Working with Adyen since 2014 gave TransferWise a single payments stack (gateway, risk management, and acquiring), flexible fraud tools and 3D Secure, and support for new methods like Apple Pay, Android Pay, one‑click payments and local options such as SEPA Direct Debit and iDEAL. The partnership improved fraud control and operational efficiency and enabled data-driven optimizations that, for example, raised authorization rates by 10% in France.
