LUSH, the handmade cosmetics company, needed a global payment provider that could support rapid expansion, more payment methods, and a unified omnichannel approach across online and in-store payments. Working with Adyen and its POS capabilities, LUSH set out to build its own till system, LUSH Pay, while improving the customer checkout experience.
Adyen helped LUSH launch LUSH Pay faster than they could have on their own and roll out Adyen POS terminals across UK stores, with plans for global expansion. The impact was significant: monthly transactions grew from 240,000 in December 2017 to 1.8 million in December 2018, an 800% increase, while mobile POS also helped cut queues and improve service for customers.
