How Decathlon has activated thousands of customers to donate at checkout

Decathlon, the sports retailer, wanted a simple way to activate customers and support charity donations at checkout while keeping campaign management flexible for its CSR and impact teams. By using Adyen’s donations product, Decathlon could run round-up or fixed-amount giving campaigns across its in-store terminals, reducing the setup and reconciliation complexity that often comes with nonprofit partnerships.

Adyen implemented Giving through the Customer Area and Back Office, enabling Decathlon to switch campaigns easily and work smoothly with its IT and nonprofit partners. Since adopting Adyen, Decathlon has supported organizations such as UNHCR, WWF, Make-A-Wish, and ParkPlay, with ParkPlay reporting seamless onboarding and a new digital fundraising channel through Decathlon’s checkout flow.
