Case Study: City Beach achieves unified payments and stronger fraud control with Adyen

A Adyen Case Study

Preview of the City Beach Case Study

How City Beach migrated its systems onto a single payments platform with Adyen

City Beach, a large Australian fashion retailer, was undergoing a major ERP and ecommerce transformation and needed to modernize its fragmented payments setup. With multiple payment partners in place, the company had limited visibility across channels, slower reconciliation and fraud investigations, and a costly process for adding new payment methods. City Beach turned to Adyen and its unified commerce payments platform to simplify and futureproof its payment operations.

Adyen implemented a single platform for refunds, chargebacks, fraud and risk management, and new payment method integration, giving City Beach centralized control through the Customer Area and RevenueProtect. The results included instant chargeback alerts, better fraud detection, easier expansion into the US, and faster payment-method rollout, including Buy Now Pay Later options. In machine learning trials with Adyen, City Beach increased authorization rates by 1.98% and reduced rejected transactions by 3%, without raising risk.
