The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) needed to modernize how its union organizers collected survey and engagement data in the field, as they were relying on a slow, manual process of writing information down and later entering it on a desktop computer. They engaged the vendor Advomatic to build a mobile-optimized web application to solve this challenge and enable real-time data collection.

Advomatic designed and built the AFT Mobile Toolkit, a fast and streamlined web app focused on performance for mobile devices and ease of use in the field. The solution was built to be extensible and included a reusable API for communicating with AFT's databases, ensuring the tool could be easily adapted for future needs. This allowed AFT organizers to submit information directly from their phones, significantly simplifying and accelerating their data collection process.
